On July 3, 2025, the Lumineers launched their Automatic World Tour at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York. Saint Paul, Minnesota-based indie rockers Hippo Campus opened the show, after headlining their own tour for their recent album “Flood.”

One of their final songs was “Big Parade” a song from their first album. This song is about realizing your personal truth needs and wants. For SPAC the band gave us a different version of the song where each band member sang a verse. Wesley dedicated a cover of Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” to his little brother who recently passed. Wesley describes many memories of being a child in the car hearing his father and brother singing the song.

Among the highlights of the shows are when the band members are given the chance to sing solo in a call-and-response style, to harmonize with each other, or play the conductor to an audience anxious to keep the beat with the bassists and drummers.
