On July 31, the latest installment of the Upstate Unplugged concert series featured Central New York’s bluegrass outfit, Remsen Social Club, at White Lake Studios.

The night ended with a moment that may have stolen the whole show. As the crowd filtered into the studio lobby, the band followed and surprised them with an impromptu rendition of Queen’s “Fat Bottom Girls.” It was a gesture of thanks from musicians who play as if they’ve never lost touch with why they started in the first place.
