Gordon Lightfoot, one of the most respected contemporary singer/songwriters of our time, treated a packed house at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with a mixture of songs off his latest album release, “Dream Street Rose,” and a collection of past hits with a two-set performance last Saturday evening. The crowd-pleasing hits included smash singles “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Don Quixote,” “Sundown,” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” Lightfoot, born in Orilla, Canada, is a chronicler of the high country as well as a poet of the city.
