Estrin describes D-Mar as percussion perfection personified. D’Mar told the crowd, “I had to train these drums. They’re not used to you.”

He all but stole the show walking into the crowd and using seat backs and a fan’s water bottle as a drum. Early in the set he promised, “We’re gonna turn this place into a juke joint,” and they did.
